ANNAPOLIS, MD: We’re back with Miss Diamond! This is her second feature on SSD. Diamond says she’s going to keep showing up until her future adopter shows up, so PLEASE TAG your #dog loving, #kindhearted friends! πŸ‘πŸ½ Some of Diamond’s top adoption qualities are: 1) 120% housetrained and move-in ready! 2) She is a loyal, loving companion 3) She is intelligent and LOVES training and knows many commands 4) She equally loves long walks as well as some good ol’ fashioned R&R! πŸ’ƒπŸ½βš½οΈβ›ΊοΈβ›΅οΈπŸŽ³πŸ˜΄ Volunteer Martin wrote, “Even though Diamond is 8 years old, she is full of playful energy, loves to go on long walks, and has an adorable silly side. Her previous owner had landlord issues and she was surrendered to the @spcaannearundel. Diamond is completely house trained since she had a family previously and will not pee or poop inside of her run; this makes her a great new addition to any home that is worried about the tedious work involved in potty-training a dog. Diamond would excel in an environment where her owner sets healthy expectations and provides leadership in a calm, stable environment. Diamond knows a bunch of standard obedience commands such as sit, down and place. She is very receptive to crunchy treats and wags her tail in delight when she connects with her handler and knows she is doing positive behaviors. Diamond also loves to give kisses and enjoys story time and relaxing with her human best friends. Because Diamond can be dog reactive, she should be the only pet in her new home. Diamond is nervous around small children, so an adult household would suit her best. It truly hurts my heart to see Diamond suffer in back kennel with little to no hope. Diamond doesn’t act her age, bonds strongly with people and simply needs an environment that will let her live out the rest of her life in the loving home she deserves.” To the right fit home, the shelter is willing to be flexible on Diamond’s adoption radius. Please inquire for more specific details. To adopt Diamond, email kristen.rygg@aacspca.org or call 410.268.4388.
